Can anyone please tell me what brand of boots does Colin Farrell wear in American Outlaws?
He is wearing them in practically every photo, check out his 33rd birthday. They are beaten up scruffy lace up boots and I would love to find out the brand!
Thanks!
Research seems to point towards Frye Boots!

To Canadians: I'm looking for your opinion?
I’m an natural born American but I’m tired of the USA. The US is all about profit and around 60% of all candidates are nothing but warmongers, racists, and congress never lets the good presidents create reform. Corporations in the US have around 70% of the people in US Congress (especially Republicans) as their puppets. The US wages wars every decade and usually its just foolish and mundane wars resulting in failures. The US is a country destined for collapse and it is sowing the seeds for its own destruction. The US cares more about big business rather than the welfare of their citizens. People in this country work hard, pay taxes, and many get nowhere and have to pay for everything.

I really want to leave the USA sometime in the next 10 years and I’ve always admired Canada because they help their people, they don’t go around waging wars, and its a relatively stable and peaceful country. When I’ve been there on vacations it seems a lot nicer and more happy and friendly than the USA. People can feel safe walking in the streets and it has nice subways unlike much of the US. Canada is like a Europe of North America and cares for their people a lot more. I’d be proud to be a citizen of Canada and admire Canada for how they treat their people. In the US I dislike what the Government of this Country stands for and how the US exploits their people by leaving them to be exploited by insurance companies, misrepresentation, and how US taxes go to nothing but wars, corporate tax cuts for big business, corporate bailouts, but when it comes down to helping their common people and middle class, the US leaves them in the dust. The US seems like a Capitalist Extremist Tyranny of the West in my own personal opinion. Canada, and most of Europe are usually more peaceful, care more about their people, and are for their people rather than business. I like some qualities of the US but my dislikes of the US outweigh my likes.

I’ve had some Canadian teachers in the past and they’re were very friendly. I’m currently in my early twenties and once I get my degree from my college, I really want to relocate from the USA and Canada is my top choice. Canadians are great people and they seem to be a lot more mature and knowledgeable than many Americans.

Can you Canadians tell me how much you love being Canadian? What you think of the US and how the US treats their people? Do you think my perceptions on Canada are accurate and that Canada is better than the US? Do you think I’m being too hard on the USA or do you think I’m accurate in my claims about my current homeland? Do you think I’d make a good Canadian resident/citizen? What are the best provinces for someone moving to Canada to settle?
I’m from the Northeast region of the US.
I’m an American planning to leave for Canada. Canada is nicer and more caring then America. Canada is the best country in North America.

America is full of capitalist-extremists and Mexico is the most-corrupt country in North America.

Canada is a more caring place, has less corruption, more stability, and treats their people with respect.

I once went to the U.S and like you said above, I felt a little creeped out walking around. Canada is, in my opinion, one of the best countries in the world, in the "caring about their people" part. You’d have to get used to the cold though =)

No, I don’t think you are being too harsh on your country. Plutocrats have set up every policy for their own benefits. I agree with you. It’s common nowadays we hear about relocation of jobs to overseas, spiking health cost, termination of pension, reduction of full-time job to contract… U.S is all about profits. Corporation bailed out so they can prepare bonuses to employees… What a fail.
Many Americans are out-raged at Obama saying that health care is a service… It is a service but there is another perspective that ‘everyone should have right to live’. I think it was great at first when he proposed government’s health insurance plan for the low income- earners. Majority of people went so mad to hear about it saying "We don’t want our country to become another Russia. A socialist country". America is like the only country with health insurance confined to private options. If universal-health plan was inefficient and deficit hiker then the europe along with Canada, and Australia would have aborted the plan long ago.

I like Canada, almost everything about it. It’s not a heaven on earth because it’s not completely corrupt free nation but it’s not as bad as U.S. Actually nowhere as near.
We have lower poverty rate than U.S
We pay lower tuition to universities overall than U.S
We have stronger banking system that is not as brittle as American one.

We have universal health care, are we the one with seven trillion dollar debt?

I have met some people who naturalized from U.S because of same reason as you. I think you would make great citizen. I am not natural born citizen either. I was once a immigrant.

I’d recommen B.C or Alberta for you. Economy in the east isn’t doing too well.

I disliked my old country (not U.S) so I naturalized. If you don’t like your country, you simply move.

It’s your freedom.

Hey!

I’m a born and raised Canadian and I couldn’t be prouder of my country! :)
I think the US is a valuable ally and I’m glad that we share the world’s longest undefended border, but no offence to any Americans, I would never chose to immigrate there. I agree with you, I think Canada is a country that takes care of its citizens regardless and doesn’t make sure you’ve got the funds to back -yourself up first.. I think it’s in the mindset of Canadians - that we don’t mind taking care of each other, and ensuring that everyone regardless of income/background quality equal health care because we all know that we’re going to need that health care ourselves one day.. I don’t believe in Capitalism.. spending and making money aren’t my priorities.

I’m not trying to degrade the US or anything, but I find a good number of them are very rude and disrespectful.. for example regarding Canada to nothing more than ”America’s hat", and then accusing Canada of doing nothing in the middle east to help, when we see on the news every week that more and more Canadian soldiers are dying from roadside bombs and in combat… its very hurtful to all soldiers families, a friend of mine lost his friend oversees :( . Also Americans seem very verryy misinformed when they trash our health care system.. when really it is amazing.. I’ve seen clips of and heard debates with American politicians telling complete LIES about socialized health care.. they’re using scare tactics to brainwash and make a fool of their citizens and themselves! some Americans seem to speak out about an issue before they are completely informed about the issue.. I like to be informed about issues as much as I can before I weigh in with my opinion, otherwise you just end looking stupid..
- and before people go saying that all Americans are not like that at all, I know, I have some distant family in the States and they’re great people.. maybe I’ve just heard from a bad sample of the US..
Also there’s the common known thought that Americans are ignorant.. and I’m sure a lot of them aren’t but when they ask(joking I hope) how my igloos holding up with this warmer than usual winter, or how my sled teams getting around with the lack of snow.. they kind of enforce that label themselves.. I’m sure most of the time they’re joking, but its not funny haha.. we laugh at them for saying that, not with them lol and if you watched the closing ceremony of the Olympics, we like to poke fun of ourselves as well.. giant inflatable beavers, singing mounties and all :)

I also feel that the US underestimates the strength/power of Canadians(for ex.. how we won 14 golds.. that seemed to baffle a lot of countries.. but not Canadians, we knew our athletes had it in them ), thinking we mainly just work 6 months of the year and get wasted the other 6 months talking ”aboot” hockey and that our main food groups are maple syrup, alcohol and moose meat ”eh”… but I kind of like being underestimated.. makes me feel powerful muahahahah.. he he lol

In my biased opinion I think that Canadians are more easy going and like to roll with the punches.. we’re not to uptight and we love to sit down and have a beer and strike up a conversation with random strangers :)

Our economy isn’t suffering nearly as much as the US’s, we seemed to avoid the worst of it.. our banking and housing markets are more stable, and we just seem to have our heads on straighter right about now..

You sound like you’d make a great Canadian, you already seem to have the same attitude and respect for Canada as us Canadians do :D
As far as the best province to settle in.. it all depends on what you like, We may not have a huge population, but the different regions of Canada vary greatly in culture, landscapes, populations and diversity. I’m from Atlantic Canada, and those 4 provinces are known for their friendliness and hospitality.. people who visit this region always come back with great things to say about their trip.. the food is amazing(if you like seafood, you’ll think you’ve died and gone to heaven), rich culture and absolutely beautiful scenery.. but the winters can test your patience haha.. this region of Canada kind of has the small town feel, but their populations and diversity is expanding.
If you like big cities, check out Toronto, Montreal, Calgary or Vancouver.. living there can get fairly expensive though..
- Where in the US are you from?

If I were you I’d start researching into the requirements of becoming a resident of Canada and eventually a citizen right now.. because it’s very competitive, and can be a long process because there are currently very many immigrant applicants(but who can blame ‘em right? :P)..

Good luck! :D Mollee | Mar 18, 2010

Funny - I’m a Canadian looking to relocate to the US. I immigrated here sixteen years ago and am in a relatively similar position as you - tired of the country.
MajesticMar | Mar 18, 2010

I LOVE being a Canadian. I love how we allow equal rights to all and even before the U.S. Canada, had more rights for black people before the U.S. Many came to Canada with the underground railroad. We don’t discriminate (mostly) it was the 4th country in the world to legalize same-sex marriage. I don’t think you are being to hard on the US, as your entitled to your opinion, and you seem quite knowledgeable about your surroundings. If you believe that everyone matters, and do not infringe on people’s rights and beliefs and love Canada and all it’s people, along with human rights around the world. You are a good Canadian. Many people are detered from Canada because of the weather. If it is a factor, might I mention the west coast??? Vancouver, Victoria.. Or small towns in there. B.C is a place for great activitys outdoors. Ontario is more populous and is close to the American border. Quebec has an amazing culture. Alberta??? uh sorry, (no offense albertans). The praries??? If you like really cold and windy winters, the place is for you.. The maritime will also be good. I prefer B.C. I live in the kootenays. The territories are good also, but densely populated.
Bryan | Mar 18, 2010

Well, im Canadian and currently live in US.
Well to be honest I like US better, but there’s also good things in canada.
Canada has a better economic system. Lol. Its not as cold as people tell you
its actually just as cold as newyork in the winter. Nothing colder.
I do agree with some of the other people’s answers. America has many rude people and alot of crimes
and violence. But Canada does too. People try to say Canada is a friendly country, but thats just an opinion like mines. Not all people are friendly. They have many different unique things in Canada that you may not find in Us
But i think you should maybe go visit it for a couple months then decide to see if you like it or not. Its not quite bad though.

But I just don’t think Canada’s that great. Those people who answered you, to be honest, they just think Canada’s the greatest country ever. And probably just don’t like US And they think Americans like to talk smack about Canadians. And they say Americans talk smack about Canadians, when i was there it was really the other way around.

Well its just a tip.
and my opinion about Why i like us better.
But you should just stay there for a while see how you like it, if you don’t then don’t move, if you do then move.
US ALLTHEWAY.
even tho im Canadian i think u cud tell im not that proud of it.

Slither

Slither
Slither (2006)

IMDB rating: 6.70

Plot: In this blend of the B movie classic The Blob (1958) and some Romero’s zombies film, a meteorite collides in a small town. Grant finds it, and is infected by a parasite worm, which installs in his brain and causes him a creepy transformation into a monster. Starla, his wife, and Bill, a policeman, will try to stop him and the plague of worms generated by the creature.

Directors: Gunn James

Actors: Fillion Nathan,Henry Gregg,Rooker Michael,Thompson Don,Milligan Dustin,Sutherland Haig,Ludwig Zak,Anderson Bart,Comedy,Horror,Sci-Fi,

Is my friend a coward and did he nearly get me killed?
We were waking home. These two guys were harrassing us talking garbage. He noticed one had a knife but didn’t say anything. I didn’t see any knife. Anyway, one of the guys kicked me in the back of the leg and I turned around and told him to FUCK right off or it would get ugly. The other guy asked what I said and I repeated it louder. Then, I turned around and kept walking. The guy slithered (I didn’t hear him) forward and held my one shoulder with his arm and pulled a knife near my throat. I managed to get my hand in the way of my jugular (so he couldn’t slit my throat) and then quickly the situation diffused. He asked how I felt now and I told him to go fuck himself. He walked off.

Still, this doesn’t seem good. Did my friend not say anything because he was scared? He said he thought I knew about the knife but I REALLY doubt that. I wouldn’t have challeneged and then turned my back on someone with an open knife.

So what’s going on?
What’s the deal?
I wasn’t trying to pick a fight (though I would have fought him anyway if he would’ve tried to assault me again when my back was turned, yet I still didn’t know there was any knife.) I thought once I told him to back off it would be done. Not to cower away, but because I thought the situation was over.
That’s why I turned my back, I mean.
Also I would have fought him had he tried ANYTHING more with his knife or movement after he paused with the knife. It was just that we both paused.

What you really should have done was called the police and report an attempted knifing. I’m more concern about the way you reacted to the guy rather than your friend. When someone pulls out a knife, you don’t make the situation worse by telling him to go do something to himself. This isn’t the movies - this is real life.
sacredclay | Feb 01, 2010

I think he was just incredibly startled and didn’t know what to say. I know if I saw someone with a knife, declaring you knew it was there would only get you attacked sooner. Though he didn’t use chivalry, you cannot blame him for being frightened. Most people aren’t as brave as you seem to be.

what can i bake with these ingredients?
from a fail blondie experiment (they came out too dark i guess because i used dark brown sugar instead of light and mixed chocolate chips in which ended up melting but they still tasted good regardless) what can i make with these ingredients so i can use them up and have them not go bad in my pantry? ( i enjoy baking but i dont have alot of time due to working and school. luckily thanks to the snow storm ive found myself alot of time :p)

dark brown sugar (alot)
baking powder (alot)
flour (i just need to get rid of it so i can get a new bag)
plain white granulated sugar (again just gotta get rid of it)
raspberry preservatives (i used it for cheesecake topping and again need to get rid of it)

maybe a scone recipe or again anything im willing to try something new :)

Live. It's all you can do. | Feb 07, 2010

To make anything with those ingredients, you’d need eggs and milk and butter or oil as well. Then you could make cake or donuts, and spread the raspberry preserves on them.
Joanne | Feb 07, 2010

if you have butter and eggs you could make thumbprint cookies.
Brian | Feb 07, 2010

None of the things you listed go bad if stored correctly. I wish I had the luxury of tossing things out just so I could get a new one.
Lisa | Feb 07, 2010

It is always useful to have baking powder, flour, and sugar. I mean, They are basic kitchen essentials.
KingMan | Feb 07, 2010

Agree, those are basic supplies that stores long, and you will want to always have them in your kitchen! They usually keep for up to a year.

If you don’t have much time to bake, then make pancakes for weekend brunches. I go with about one cup of flour, 3/4 cup of milk, 1/2 cup of melted butter, one egg, dash salt, a tablespoon white or brown sugar, 3 tablespoons baking powder.

Raspberry preserves usually go on top of pancakes after frying, but if you like to give the batter an interesting pink colour you might like to mix about 3-4 spoonfuls in the batter. Then you can either use some more on top of the pink pancakes, or roll the pancakes in dark brown sugar topping. If you like, you can also make thinner pancakes by adding more milk.

If you make 2-3 batches, you can invite friends over for a pancake party. It will be an inexpensive way to treat your friends and have a fun afternoon together, and your ingredients will run out fast.
Mizz G | Feb 07, 2010

Refined flour only keeps for about 8 months. It can go bad.
shelf life of baking powder last 3 to 6 months.

You can use the brown sugar to make candied yams or carrots.
Just add 1/4 cup of butter to the sauce pan open can of yams or carrots and pour in a cup of brown sugar. It will make a sweet syrup like broth.

If the flour is still good and baking soda

pan cakes
Ingredients
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
3 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon white sugar
1 1/4 cups milk
1 egg
3 table spoons oil or soften butter

Mix all ingredients and fry in hot pan. Splash a little water by flicking you wet finger on pan If it sizzles it is hot enough. Put a little oil in pan a pour small amount in pan. When edges start to dry a little and some of the holes left from bubbles do not close it is time to flip with spatula.

When don remove from pan to plate and spoon on raspberry preserves and eat any time of day is OK.

3 cups all purpose flour (more or less, as needed)
1/2 tsp. salt
1 cup butter, softened (2 sticks)
1 cup sugar
1 large egg
2 tsp. vanilla or almond extract

Stir together flour and salt and set aside.
Mix sugar into the butter.
Then add the rest of the ingredients.
Divide into four portions and refrigerate for an hour.
Flour a flat surface and roll out dough to about a 1/4 inch thick after it had sometime out of the refrigerator.
Use cookie cutter or glass to cut out cookies from the dough.
Bake on cookie sheet at 350 10 to 15 minutes.

Plot: Loosely based on Homer’s ‘Odyssey’ the movie deals with the grotesque adventures of Everett Ulysses McGill and his companions Delmar and Pete in 1930s Mississipi. Sprung from a chain gang and trying to reach Everetts home to recover the buried loot of a bank heist they are confronted by a series of strange characters. Among them sirens, a cyclops, bankrobber George ‘Babyface’ Nelson (very annoyed by that nickname), a campaigning Governor, his opponent, a KKK lynch mob, and a blind prophet, who warns the trio that “the treasure you seek shall not be the treasure you find.”

I just realized the Stars have two sets of brothers currently in their system stars players jamie benn and james neal’s brothers are both prospects in the system (jordie ben and mike neal) what set of brothers does your team have and what set of brothers do you feel are the most famous in the history of the nhl?

Patrick im house sitting for my parents this weekend ill prob be playing a little nhl 10 on their projector add me man Ol Nuber 56
Casey Bring a tazer and some qualudes…
Stars also had both Hatcher bros at a point…

My Canuckle-heads have one of the most famous sets of brothers, Hank and Danny. Well at least the most famous right now. I think in all of NHL history it would have to be the Espositios.

BQ: I’m just gonna play it low key. I think I’m getting sick! This is BULLSH!T. lol

Flyers had:
Rich & Ron Sutter
Larry & Wayne Hillman
Jussi & Kimmo Timonen
Joe & Jimmy Watson

As for the most famous brothers. Nothing says famous than hockey brothers than the Hansons. A real one that pops into my head is the Bure’s but they are probably not the most famous one I just need to think harder.

BQ: Sitting at home and playing NHL 10′ all weekend. With the 6-12 inches of snow coming up it’s gonna be the laziest days I have ever had since the summer. If i’m not lazy maybe I will go hike a good 3 miles to go visit friends but I don’t know.

BQ: my wife has this great idea of going shopping on saturday (last saturday before christmas)…… so it’ll be a joyous time.

I don’t think the Wings have any brothers. They have one of a bunch of brothers, Drew Miller, and those brothers are pretty cool. As far as most famous it would be all those Sutters. The Hanson Brothers goes without saying. The Sedin twins, of course. Now THAT’S a brother. I can’t think today. That’s my excuse and I am sticking to it.

BQ: The highlight of my weekend. Hmmmm. Same ole stuff except I have to be at work at three Sunday morning instead of four. Yay! And I get to see the grandkids on Monday.

Damn~ The Emmerton brothers.

I had breakfast with the younger, Corey, before he hit the big league. He played and was friends with my cousin.

The Flyers had the Watson brothers a long time ago. I think the Richard brothers are the most prolific.

The highlight of my weekend is shaping up to be a trek to school in this snow that we’re supposed to be getting. After that’s overwith and I’m free to do as I wish, some lucky lady will be able to take me home and have her way with me.

BQ - Well, got hit with a pile of artwork this afternoon so it looks like I’ll be trying to get it done this weekend so I can take off next Tuesday for the holidays. Gotta get some Christmas shopping done too.
So no exciting highlight for me.
Dale M | Dec 18, 2009

Tony & Phil Esposito. Peter, Anton & Marion Stastny or what about the legendary tandem of Wayne and Brent Gretzky. The Sutter brothers (already mentioned) but maybe the most overlooked brother tandem has to be Rocket and Henri Richard. There are all kinds of interesting brother combo’s that have played in the NHL….how about Gordie and Vic Howe. Did you know Patrick Roy had a brother who made a small appearance (Stephane…I believe was his name) in the NHL? Or Mark Messier who had a brother who played briefly (cant recall his name at the moment). Then you have the Lindros bros.

But the top 3 have to be: (in no particular oder)
Sutter brothers (Ron,Rich Duane, Darryl,Brent & Brian)
Rocket and Henri Richard
Phil & Tony Esposito

BQ…getting some sleep….flu has wrecked our house all week and I am dog *ss tired!
viphockey4 | Dec 18, 2009

Wow Jag! I didn’t know that either. I didn’t know that Jamie Benn and James Neal had brothers who are also part of the Stars system. That should be interesting in the next few years to come.

As for the most famous brothers in NHL history, I gotta say the Sedin bros. are. They are very productive on the ice together and they both provide good leadership. When you have two bros. on the ice together, there’s always gonna be some sort of comfort level.

BQ: I have three highlights.

One, I’m gonna be going to a Christmas party tomorrow night. Looking forward to it =)

Second, I can’t wait to see the Stars take down the Wings tomorrow afternoon.

Third, I hope my Boys take down the undefeated Saints.

Was I having a heart attack or anxiety attack?
last summer i got dehydrated and started hearing voices (hallucinations) and my heart was pounding. also, my body was beginning to devour itself. i lost 10 pounds including most of my muscle bringing down to 115. i was experiencing palpitations every night, and got these attacks quite often where i couldnt breathe. i was looking online and read anxiety and heart attacks are commonly confused. also the amount of caffeine led to being dehydrated (i drank a 2-liter of pepsi the day before, but i had 39 previously before this so i thought nothing of it) and the next day reached the high 90’s. anyway the attacks lasted for a total of 3.5 months, in my house which was on average 100 or so since we had no AC, and i wasnt taken to the hospital becase no one believed me. i hate to type this much so i’ll just include that 2.5 months of my summer was total hell, and 1 month in school i was still having symptoms at night, but experienced nothing in the daytime.

usually with your first anxiety attack THATS when its confused with a heart attack. If you’ve hit 100 of these attacks now than no your not having heart attacks because I think thats just impossible. This being said you maybe suffering from anxiety, so look up those symptoms and than get your self diagnosed by a DOCTOR (never self diagnose anything!) than go for treatment from there. Anxiety can progress and get worse fast or progressively slow but it’s different with everybody. Treatment would be some antibiotics and therapy. Don’t worry you’ll be back to normal soon with the correct diagnosis and treatment.
Macy Bear | Feb 04, 2010

Dehydration occurs because there is too much water lost, not enough water taken in, or most often a combination of the two.

Individuals with vomiting and diarrhea can try to alter their diet and use medications to control symptoms to minimize water loss.

Acetaminophen or ibuprofen may be used to control fever.

Fluid replacements may be attempted by replacing fluid by mouth with frequent small amounts of clear fluids. Dehydration can lead to mental confusion and heart palpitations.

In other words keep fluids in your body water, juices try to keep caffeine at a minimum. Good luck.

Is A Maltese Dog To Much Work For A 17 Year Old Girl?
Ok so im 16 about to be 17 on feb,16 so my birthday is right around the corner and im hopelessly confused and need some advice desperately, today i talked to my dad who im going to move in with in a week and he’s known for about 2 months know that I’ve been wanting a maltese for my birthday i believe that i have gained enough responsibility to take care of a dog. I understand its allot of work and responsibility and it takes allot of care and patience and there not just toys you can play with and put away after your done with it. I haven’t done good with dogs when i was younger because i wasn’t really ready to have one nor did i understand the responsibility they came with so I’ve had about hmm…3 or 4 dogs in my lifetime and they where all given away to family members the reason why was because i wasn’t mature or responsible enough. Anyways back to what i was saying so my dad calls me and we talk about the dog its funny because a couple of weeks ago he kept saying how a dog would be nice to have and how he thinks im mature enough for one he also said "yea there allot of work but if u you think you can handle it and take good care of it i don’t see why u shouldn’t get it." So today he calls and its a whole DIFFERENT STORY he went on and on how "People who have dogs have NO LIFE’S!" "You have to live your life for a dog once you get one you wont be able to sleep anymore they have to go potty every 3 to 4 hours, they always bark, you wont be able to stay out of the house for more than 3 hours, you have to rush home every minute, you cant go out to eat anymore, and the dog will chew up your clothes and bed sheets!" He went ON AND ON for a whole hour he also said "And if you decide you want this dog it’ll mess up your college courses/classes so lets say if you have 6 or 5 classes a week you cant if you have a dog you can only have like 3 and you always have to stay home with it you just wont have a life!" Wow i couldn’t believe what i was hearing first he said i can do it now he says i cant and if i want one i wont have a LIFE anymore and its a big mistake and that i’ll get rid of it in 2 weeks and you always have to be home (Witch im home most of the time anyways!)! Can someone PLEASE HELP ME! Now i feel totally sad because my dream of wanting a Maltese is crushed cause he made it seem like its the worst thing in the world….is it? Please i need some advice

Thank you

I am a college student and I have two dogs a basset hound and a dachshund. Your father sounds like he is trying to scare you out of getting a dog.

Anyone who has had them knows w/ proper training dogs are just fine to be left alone for some time…a reasonable amount, not like days at a time.

They are a responsibility unlike anything you’ve probably encountered before, unless you’ve had a child. They are alive. They need to use the bathroom, they need exercise, they need all the interaction most people need.

I take 6-7 classes a semester and it has never been a problem to have my dogs at home in a pen (not crate that long).

You need to think about what you want to do for college though..A dog isn’t something you get for 2 years then give away when you move into a dorm ( some colleges require it for your first year)…its a bond for life. Period.

Dogs ARE a lot of work, and take A LOT of time, and it is 100% true that a dog alters your life, although obviously your dad was exaggerating about a few things, likely trying to talk you out of the dog. However, I think it would be a big mistake to get a dog now. Your life is about to become extremely busy and stressful and exhausting and financially unstable. You may be ready for a dog right now, but in a year, it might be a completely different story. I would wait until you are settled into college before you make the decision regarding whether or not you’re ready for a dog. When you are finished with your classes for the day and have a few hours of homework to get started on, balancing friends and activities and maybe a part time job on top of everything else, are you going to want a dog added into the equation? Are you going to want to have to turn down overnights and road trips with your friends, because there is no one to watch your dog? Are you going to want to spend what very little disposable income you have on dog food, hefty vet bills, and everything else a dog requires? Are you going to want to come home at the end of the day, dead on your feet, and leash your dog up for a long walk? What about a dorm? Forget finding a dorm that will allow a dog. And when you’re ready to find an apartment, do your realize that it’s very hard to find one that accepts dogs, and the ones that do require a large non-refundable pet-deposit?

A dog may not be too much work for a 17-year-old high school student, but it just might be too much for an 18-19-year-old college student. Until you KNOW it won’t be, and the only way you can know is to wait until you are in college, I wouldn’t get a dog. It’s not fair to the dog, and it’s not a good idea for you, either. If you start college, and realize that you have a lot of energy and time left over, then consider a dog. A lot of college students have dogs and it works out fine. Until you know for sure though, I would wait.

what to do about a tow truck driver who went though my car and stole many ?
my car was taken and that @ss holes would not let me get any of my stuff out of the car, when i got in and would not get out i rolled the window down and started passing thing to my hubby they called the cops but they never came. the other driver got in the car and pulled me out i kicked him in the balls. and told him if he did not get his hands off me i was going to kill him. my hubby pulled a knife and told them to get the F*** off our grass. well i started to get back in the car and they took off with it.

we called the cops again and they said they would send someone out 2 hrs later they did, well the comp. never did a report on taken the car, 5 days later we got the car back my over $1100 of stuff was taken my hubby runs a computer repair shop and also has lots of parts in the car.

the bbb has no report of these people, any though of who i can talk to about bringing criminal charges up.
no it was not a repossession and it was parked at my house in my drive way.
for the @ss who "knows the law" you don’t know shit, and i have 3 people who lived next door who wrote down everything that happened. and i have the ER report from where they pulled me out and dislocated my wrist, so bit me.

if teh responding officer refused to take a report–you need to contact his superior

i’m guessing this was a repossession or an illegally parked car…..

is so–there was no report to take since there was no crime..

but taking the possessions inside is

dont matter how many times you call the police they always show up and i highly doubt the tow truck guys got in the car and dragged you out and by law if you show up before they take off by law they have to surrender you car and if you dont know who to talk to to file charges well then your a dumb ***** w/ a crazy story

Towing companies do not tow for no reason. You are probably lucky not to have been charged with assault. Now as to the possessions that you say were in the car, Can you prove they were there in the first place. That is going to be your problem.

Did Australia do a good banning small breasts and female ejaculation?
The ban (RC) on small breasted women in adult industry has been made by the Australian Classification Board allegedly on the grounds that such images could be construed as child pornography, even where those publications comply with American law and keep certification that performers are over 18.

Female ejaculation has also been banned on the reason that

Sex and the City: The Movie

The Movie
Sex and the City: The Movie (2008)

IMDB rating: 5.40

Plot: After moving in together in an impossibly beautiful New York apartment, Carrie Bradshaw and Mr. Big make a rather arbitrary decision to get married. The wedding itself proves to be anything but a hasty affair—the guest list quickly blooms from 75 to 200 guests, and Carrie’s simple, label-less wedding gown gives way to an enormous creation that makes her look like a gigantic cream puff. An upcoming photo spread in Vogue puts the event—which will take place at the New York Public Library—squarely in the public eye. Meanwhile, Carrie’s girlfriends—Samantha, the sexpot; Charlotte, the sweet naif; and Miranda, the rigid perfectionist—could not be happier. At least, they couldn’t be happier for Carrie. Charlotte still has the unrealized hope of getting pregnant. Samantha is finding a loving, committed relationship more grueling than she could have imagined. Miranda unwittingly lets her own unhappiness—created when Steve admits to cheating on her just once—spoil Carrie’s. After a heated encounter with Steve, she happens to spot Mr. Big and tells him he’s crazy to get married. She’s really only thinking of her own marriage. But her angry remark gets Mr. Big to thinking.

Six Feet Under & Sex and the City, should christians watch these shows?
I’ve decided to get rid of all my horror movies, due to my faith, and I don’t want demonic things in my house (such as freddy kruger, chucky, sweeney todd, saw ect)

I have my series, six feet under and sex and the city, do you think christians should watch these shows? They’re my 2 favorite shows in the world and I’d hate to give them away.

What are your thoughts? Please only respond if you’ve SEEN these shows, thanks.

As a Christian, I say NOBODY should watch these shows. They’re terrible. Nobody should subject themselves to that type of IQ-reducing punishment.

As far as the horror flix, you could have at least picked "The Exorcist" or something along those lines to remove from your house. The ones you mentioned are just silly fake blood fun.

It’s your choice.
but if you are a christian and you want to "not sin" which is impossible..
then I suggest you not watch them.

Well…I think you need to listen to what God is telling you to do. You see, the analogy that is used in the bible is grape vines. God prunes the branches (us) so we can produce more fruit. He takes away what is unhealthy, and allows you to see him clearly without a curtain seperating you. There is this video that represents sin taking us away from God, though does not directly relate to movies…http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cyheJ480L YA
Luke Chapter 6 verses 43-45
43"No good tree bears bad fruit, nor does a bad tree bear good fruit. 44Each tree is recognized by its own fruit. People do not pick figs from thornbushes, or grapes from briers. 45The good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and the evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For out of the overflow of his heart his mouth speaks.

I can’t find the exact verses…

you don’t need to get rid of them if you like the shows
