I could not put down The Swiss Family Robinson. But the same goes true for most of the classics, including 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea.

I recommend reading the circle series by Ted Dekker. He is releasing the final book in the series in September 2009. It is entitled Green. This would be a great place to start.
You can go to teddekker.com/readgreen and enter the referral # 6295 to receive special offers.
This will also help me earn points for a contest to meet Ted Dekker in Texas.

Lolita is delicious and will tear into your morality. It’s beautifully done. Nabokov is brilliant.
Another author I didn’t see on the list:
John Fowles.
Try - The French Lieutenant’s Woman or The Collector.

Chuck Palahniuk is a pretty good author. I personally don’t like him, but have many friends who swear by his writing.
Alice’s Adventures….etc is one of my favorite books, but be warned, alot of it doesn’t make sense (but that is also why it is so cute).
I’m really fond of The Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger, and I figure if you’re a teenager, you probably will love it. And it’s a classic.
The Cheese Monkeys by Chip Kidd is pretty good. Not the best writing I’ve ever seen, but very interesting story.
I just read The Brief and Wondorous Life of Oscar Wao, and it was pretty good. I think its becoming a pretty popular book.
The Perks of Being a Wallflower is another one of my favorites.
So….I hope that helps.
