What do you think of this?? :^)?
Almost every morning, i wake up and my cat, Lumpy, is sticking his head in the toilet bowl like a dog. One day, i watched him. He sticks his paw in the water and licks it. I don’t know if he likes that water or what but he knows he has a water fountain downstairs. I think he gets like drunk or high off the water because even if you scream his name he doesn’t get out of the bowl. You have to pick him up (because his paws are clinging to the seat and his head is in the bowl) and bring him somewhere else. Then, he lays down in the middle of the bathroom and even if you nudge him, he just lays there like a lump (know wonder his name is lumpy, right?). This is kind of a new thing for him since the past month or so. Can you tell me why he does this and if it’s healthy?? Should i keep the bathroom door closed?? Thank you if you answer. :^)
The toilet lid on my toilet is turned the opposite way as decoration, i cant close the lid. :^)

Unless it truly annoys you, no you don’t have to do anything. It is perfectly normal behavoir. I would close the bathroom door to stop Lumpy, though.
Twitter | Jan 31, 2010

If you use some kind of cleaner in the toilet like drop in bleach or something, then definitely keep the door (or at least the lid) closed. If not he’s probably just discovered best place in the house to get fresh water since his fountain water probably isn’t changed out as often as the toilet is flushed.
a | Jan 31, 2010

LOL… I don’t know that I can help with Lumpy, but do know he has a "twin". The only solution I know is to keep the toilet lid down. I let Poppy watch the toilet flush, but as soon as she tries to touch I pick her up and lower the lid… show’s over at that point.
sagacious_ness | Jan 31, 2010

I don’t know a scientific reason why cats do that, but I’ve been told it has to do with fresh water. Also, cats can taste water, unlike humans, so some water sources may taste better than others!
Aras | Jan 31, 2010

I seriously do not have an answer for this one except that he loves toilet water… I am constantly having to keep my bathroom door shut since my cat either gets into the toilet water or lays in front of the toilet. I think your story is hilarious. Just let your kitty be himself, but shut your bathroom door… Kudos to you for addressing a problem we all (cat lovers) have dealt with in such a comedic way!!! I am giving you a star!!!

There is a lot of different types of scenery-both man made construction, as well as nature.

Very famous, well known city.

Lot’s of people to play extras.

Cheap (relatively) to film there.

All four seasons.

One of the most well known cities in the world. Also because it’s my home and I directed about 3/4 of those movies.
NY Rangers (The King>Ovi) | Apr 19, 2009

A friend of mine from New York once said that it was because it doesn’t cost very much money to film there. Like 250,000 dollars a day. He could have been messing with me, but I asked him that question and that’s what he told me.

Because it is the city for all races. And besides, everyone is almost free to do anything.

Probably because it’s the most well known city in the us. And Also cause it’s entertaining to see new york.
Leo | Apr 19, 2009

i think it’s because, historically, NEW YORK CITY is what people from other countries usually associate with when they think of the United States…

and, how it’s practically a city made up of people from other countries, religions, and other walks of life, any disaster set in that city gets a kindred type of reaction from a lot of people around the world…

subconsciencely (?), it’s like that disaster, be it Godzilla or aliens, is attacking "the world" and not just "an american city"…

Do you find long hair or short more masculine?
Yeah it’s easy to say short since that’s how it’s been for the past 80 years or so… But think about it.

Whenever you see movies like Braveheart…. Or pictures of Civil War generals…. Or bad @ss motorcycle gang people… Or even Chippendale strippers…..

They all have long hair. Except you don’t really notice the hair. Because it looks so natural.

Personally I think it takes more guts for a man to have long hair…. People think long hair on a man is gay but I’ve never seen a gay guy with long hair in my life.

What do you think.
THIS QUESTION IS REFERRING TO HAIR ON A MALE.

Long hair on a guy who is muscular and fit is very nice. Long hair on a skinny guy…not so much. I don’t think long hair is a factor in determining if a guy is either gay or straight. I think it is a personal preference. For me, I prefer short hair, it looks masculine on all body types.

shar | Jan 21, 2010

I love long hair on men. My husband has hair bout mid back and his beard is about chest level. I think it’s very attractive on men rather than those short cuts or bald, not everyone can go bald and look good. And I also don’t like men to wear those slip on shoes. I like men in boots.
Hey Jude | Jan 21, 2010

I personally LOVE long hair on men. Long hair on a man is almost as good as a nice set of teeth. Yes indeed. Give me something to hold on to. It takes a confident man to grow out their hair. Definitely sexy.

I love long hair on a guy as long as it is nicely kept - no shaggy dogs for me!

wondering about a game that possibly doesn't exist?
Ok i’ve been wondering about a game that was featured in an issue of game informer a few years back during the ps2’s lifespan possibly before current gen consoles were even announced.

Details
from what i remember, it was basically a horror survivor game. It had a high emphasis on fog which was a big element in the story i remember.. the main character i guess was looking for survivors in the world. It was similar to silent hill except the creature things were more out in the open and actually there. (sorry not big on silent hill) and i know it WASNT silent hill. I’m thinking it was possible to drive a car if you found one but im not sure. It could have possibly been called "the fog" but i cant find any info under that. if i remember anything from the article i remember that if you were to go beyond the parameters of the "fog" there would be some massive creature that would kill you. That part could have been readers interpretation..

I dont know the name or if the game even came out. Its possible it was cancelled..
anyways any help would be appreciated. If there arent any answers ill try sony forums tomorrow thanks.

Extermination, maybe ?

Breaking up with GF, is this a good poem to do it with?
The memory of you emerges from the night around me.
The river mingles its stubborn lament with the sea.

Deserted like the dwarves at dawn.
It is the hour of departure, oh deserted one!

Cold flower heads are raining over my heart.
Oh pit of debris, fierce cave of the shipwrecked.

In you the wars and the flights accumulated.
From you the wings of the song birds rose.

You swallowed everything, like distance.
Like the sea, like time. In you everything sank!

It was the happy hour of assault and the kiss.
The hour of the spell that blazed like a lighthouse.

Pilot’s dread, fury of blind driver,
turbulent drunkenness of love, in you everything sank!

In the childhood of mist my soul, winged and wounded.
Lost discoverer, in you everything sank!

You girdled sorrow, you clung to desire,
sadness stunned you, in you everything sank!

I made the wall of shadow draw back,
beyond desire and act, I walked on.

Oh flesh, my own flesh, woman whom I loved and lost,
I summon you in the moist hour, I raise my song to you.

Like a jar you housed infinite tenderness.
and the infinite oblivion shattered you like a jar.

There was the black solitude of the islands,
and there, woman of love, your arms took me in.

There was thirst and hunger, and you were the fruit.
There were grief and ruins, and you were the miracle.

Ah woman, I do not know how you could contain me
in the earth of your soul, in the cross of your arms!

How terrible and brief my desire was to you!
How difficult and drunken, how tensed and avid.

Cemetery of kisses, there is still fire in your tombs,
still the fruited boughs burn, pecked at by birds.

Oh the bitten mouth, oh the kissed limbs,
oh the hungering teeth, oh the entwined bodies.

Oh the mad coupling of hope and force
in which we merged and despaired.

And the tenderness, light as water and as flour.
And the word scarcely begun on the lips.

This was my destiny and in it was my voyage of my longing,
and in it my longing fell, in you everything sank!

Oh pit of debris, everything fell into you,
what sorrow did you not express, in what sorrow are you not drowned!

From billow to billow you still called and sang.
Standing like a sailor in the prow of a vessel.

You still flowered in songs, you still brike the currents.
Oh pit of debris, open and bitter well.

Pale blind diver, luckless slinger,
lost discoverer, in you everything sank!

It is the hour of departure, the hard cold hour
which the night fastens to all the timetables.

The rustling belt of the sea girdles the shore.
Cold stars heave up, black birds migrate.

Deserted like the wharves at dawn.
Only tremulous shadow twists in my hands.

Oh farther than everything. Oh farther than everything.

It is the hour of departure. Oh abandoned one!

Dreams of Columbia: Have a C+?
My current aspiration is to go to Columbia University. As lofty as this goal may be, it’s better than none, right? Being a junior, this year is crucial for me. And as far as I know, these are my grades for the first semester:
Precalc Spec: A
APUS History: A
AP English: A or B+
AP Psych: A
Italian III: A
AP Chem: C+

And these are for my semester, so the admissions people are bound to see that last letter. My SAT scores are exactly 2100(I’m going to take it again, hopefully get a 2200+). I’m heavily involved with my school’s drama program, and have gotten a lead in all three productions which I have been involved in, and have competed at the state level for drama twice for singing. I’m the sole student of one of the top voice professors at UF, and have also won a competition for purely classical singing twice at the district level, and am competing this year in the regionals. Besides singing, I’m a beginning composer, and have sent my works to two competitions(results TBD). I’m also the founder and President of our school’s Salsa/Capoeira club. Besides that, I’ve been doing eastern martial arts for the past 8 years or so.

If I get better results for the next semester, possibly get that Chem score to a B+, maybe an A if I’m lucky, does anyone think that I have any decent shot at Columbia?
I am in the top 10%, and I’ve only had one B+ freshman year in each semester, and only one B+ in a semester last year.

Wow. Other than the C+, everything looks miraculous. It also depends on how you did in the past 2 years, but you look very good and have an almost guaranteed shot at getting into Columbia, as it is one of the easier Ivy’s to get into.
